Fashion 21 Two-Way Cake

Fashion 21 Cosmetics is among the leading make-up brands in the Philippines since 1985. That's more than 3 decades already. Notice a change on their brand logo lately? The local makeup brand is known for its high quality and affordable cosmetics. I've tried their eye shadow, body glitter and some lip products but never get a chance to try their face products. Thankful to Fashion 21 for letting me review their two-way cake foundation.

They got 4 variants for their two-way cake:

• Fashion 21 Two-Way Cake SPF35+ (w/ Papaya Extract) PHP 195.00
• Fashion 21 Two-Way Cake SPF35+ (w/ Tea Tree Oil) PHP 195.00

Two way cake means you can apply the powder foundation using dry or moist sponge. When it comes to Fashion 21 Two Way Cake, I prefer using the moist sponge for application for a smoother coverage. I normally walk almost 2km every morning going to work. That's 20-30 mins for me which normally makes any lady look oily catching her 8AM shift. When I used Fashion 21 Two Way Cake, even I oil up, I still got the fresh look when I arrived to the office. It feels like the powder and coverage are still intact to my face. It performs its oil control job well.
CLASSIC VARIANT

Fashion 21 Two-Way Cake SPF35+ Classic

Using shade #3 still looks lighter than what I need. I hope Fashion 21 can improve the smell of this variant. This variant has a pink undertone.

MILK VARIANT

Fashion 21 Two-Way Cake SPF35+ (w/ Milk Moisturizers)

Product Details:

Using shade #2, it got a dewy and a yellow undertone which I love the most. Scent is fine.

Papaya Extract Variant

Using shade #2, scent is fine and this one too got a yellow undertone like the Milk variant I got

Tea Tree extract Variant

Shade used was #2, I think this variant would help my pimples to try up faster and heal the blemishes. This one got a pink undertone.

Overall Thoughts:

• budget-friendly
• has own compartment for sponge
• has a scent on the compact, but fades after application
• available in pink and yellow undertones BUT shade selections mostly fit fair skin tone, for morenas, milk shade would probably the nearest for you
• offers variants for different skin type
• contains SPF 35+
• effective oil control
• sheer to medium coverage
• great staying power

Milk variant would definitely my favorite. Honestly, it would be included on my cart once I emptied all my two-way cake. Since I prefer using damp sponge for application, I'm a bit careful when piling up the powder, make sure you have a handy brush to remove excess powders. This powder from Fashion 21 is fair enough since it's affordable and can do a great job if you have small blemishes to cover up.
