Lan Zhou La Mien in Binondo

Lanzhou beef lamian or Lanzhou beef hand-pulled noodle, is a type of Chinese noodle dish originated in Lanzhou, China, and generally popular in China. 

Another feature from #BellaInBinondo, as told by a reader from my Ying Ying Tea House blog post that we should try also this place of noodles, Lan Zhou La Mien located along Benavidez St, Binondo, Manila.

I find it fancy to see their garnish and condiments on each tables already. No need to ask for assistance well except for the service water.

Binondo's Bee Tin Grocery in Binondo

Since I started roaming streets of Binondo and trying out different fast food, we've been always served with Jasmine tea (than water). I just remembered YingYing Tea House for their Jasmine Tea. And that started my craving for this kind of tea. I searched for stores selling Jasmine tea and found this red store after the bridge in Binondo, the Bee Tin Grocery.

I finally found my Jasmine Tea here, I got it for only Php 195 for 100 jasmine tea bags already. Bee Tin Grocery also has some dried leaves for your chosen tea. Bee Tin also offers different kinds of ingredients you need for Asian Cuisines such as mushrooms, seeds, dried fruits, noodles, soy sauce, rice vinegar, kimchi, chilli sauce, curry, miso paste, and herbs.

Binondo's New Po Heng Lumpia House

As an additional place on my #BellaInBinondo Series, I check out this Lumpia House known in Binondo for 2 decades. It's inside Uysugin Building along Quintin Paredes St., It's not along the main street, so this is quite hard to find if you're new in the area. When I found the sign, I knew it was the Lumpia House I'm looking for, so far it was the only one along Quintin Paredes St.

I just like to try their veggie lumpia and I ordered 2 so I can take both at home to let my mom and sister try.

1 veggie lumpia costs Php 50. For take away, It comes in this styro packaging and a sweet sauce. 

Ying Ying Tea House Binondo

We're treating ourselves with some wonderful Chinese Meals! I'm glad to be assigned for the next months in Binondo Area. It was a new place for me, thus, another place to discover, another place to blog about!

Chinese food for me feels like I'm eating heart-friendly food since I can skip those fast food, soft drinks, hamburgers and I'm eating those veggies, stir fry rice, asian flavor side dish as they use ingredients with strong flavor already - which I believe eliminates the need of MSG, more salt or more sugar. Guys, Aren't you tired of always eating in Fast Food? Well I do, sometimes I also eat my own 'baon'. ;)

We're able to try this Chinese Restaurant named Ying Ying Tea House during lunch break, it's full of customers. I'm not sure about the age of this 3-storey restaurant, I just think its over decades because of the old floors and tables. The place really needs a revamp - so don't expect too much for the place. People come here because of the food, not the place.
